Synflict started as an artistic cooperation between Marco Cervellin and me, Olliver Wichmann. We both share a common interest in creating both design and music which led to us crossing each other’s path in the autumn of 2008, when an album of Marco’s was scheduled for release on my Petcord netlabel. Thought as a one-time cooperation in November 2008 for the release’s album cover, it soon became evident that we could get along very well as a team and further album covers eventually gave birth to the moniker Synflict as a shorthand for our artistic output. During September 2009, the cooperation was extended to the field of music when Marco came up with a handful of drafts that were further refined by me and eventually grew to a first Synflict netlabel release. With the arrival of the summer, Marco withdrew as a result of personal events in his life and thus Synflict turned into a solo effort by me in July 2010. The split was finally confirmed with the official announcement in October 2010 to leave Synflict and focus on his musical career again.
